Backgammon
and the Palm Connected Organizer's Interface
The Palm Connected Oraginzer's touch sensative screen helps make Backgammon extremely easy to play. To move a piece you may tap and drag it to the appropriate location or touch the piece and then touch location to which you wish to move it. Options may be accessed through the silk screen Menu button. In the main screen this will give you a group of options. If you wish to use the New Game feature, tap the option here or use an option command in the graffiti area and then a graffiti "N". |

Settings
This selection will allow you to change modes of play from human v. PalmPilot to human v. human as well as determine the computer opponent's playing behavior. |

Tap Settings for the Settings window. If you would like to play another person tap the Computer Opponent checkbox to turn this feature offindicated by removal of the check. The computer will play either White or Black: whichever box is highlighted will be the computer's piecestap to change. Select the computer's playing behavior from Aggressively, Timidly, Defensively, and Chaotically. If you want to play the game very quickly you may select Auto-advance turns. |

Another feature of the options menu is the Winning Percentages selection. When you double your wins are increased by the value of the cube. This holds true for gammons andbackgammons. | ||||||||
If you feel like the computer is cheating check the dice stats. Sometimes you can chalk up a loss to bad dice rolls, but with Backgammon for the PalmPilot you can prove it! The stats will read White/Black and you can toggle between percents and the number of times something was rolled by tappin the % button. If you want to reset these stats tap the silk screenmenu button and select reset stats. |
